Tristar supports UN Sustainability Development Goals on road safety

Dubai Economy’s Business Excellence Division in collaboration with Emirates Benchmarking Forum had organized the “Best Practices and Benchmarking Forum 2017”. The highlight of the event was a panel discussion wherein our Group CEO, Mr. Eugene Mayne, shared Tristar’s involvement and commitment towards the UN Sustainability Development Goal No. 3 on “Good Health & Well Being”, especially about Goal 3.6 which states that “By 2020 halve the number of global deaths by injuries from road traffic accidents”. He connected it to the Vision of Dubai Police who wish to achieve “Zero accident death toll by 2020”. Mr. Mayne spoke in length sharing the best practices adapted by Tristar to ensure a safe environment. Speaking on Safety as the main theme, he stressed that Tristar is working towards “zero” or no accidents by its heavy duty truck and tanker drivers by building a culture of safety based on the 4 Es – Education, Engineering, Enforcement and Evaluation. He was a panelist along with four other eminent dignitaries from different industries and was very much appreciated by the organizers and guests for the safety measures adapted by Tristar in supporting the UN Sustainability Development Goals.
