Tristar Inaugurates Barge for Peacekeeping Staff Accommodation


Tristar Group’s specially-designed barge to be used by peacekeeping staff for their accommodation on the River Nile in South Sudan.

was inaugurated by the country’s Minister of Transport Madut Biar Yel, who was assisted by India Ambassador to South Sudan Vishnu Kumar Sharma and Tristar Group CEO Eugene Mayne. The event took place in the capital Juba. 

The barge has been built with all measures to ensure that it is environmentally friendly while operating on the river. Tristar plans to build more barges that would create employment and business opportunities in the local community and enhance the technical competence of the people.

Tristar Wins CSR Award for its ‘Safety at Sea’ Initiatives


Tristar Group Chief Administrative Officer Balaji Nagabhushan received the CSR Initiative of the Year award at the Logistics Middle East Awards 2022 held on March 31 in Dubai.

The group initiated the ‘Safety at Sea’ conference in collaboration with industry experts to discuss seafarers’ mental wellbeing and safety. The long intervals of being at sea combined with being away from loved ones are bound to adversely influence the mental well-being of the sea crew, thus, Tristar took it upon itself to raise awareness within the community.

The company has conducted three consecutive conferences already with the inaugural event launched on November 10, 2019 in Dubai and the last one conducted on December 8, 2021 at the Indian Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.

Tristar to acquire majority stake in HG Storage International Limited in deal valued at USD 215 million


Tristar Transport (L.L.C.) (“Tristar”), an integrated energy logistics group headquartered in the UAE, is pleased to announce that it has signed a sale and purchase agreement with Madison Pacific Trust Limited (“Madison Pacific”) to acquire a 51 percent stake in HG Storage International Limited (“HGSI”). Madison Pacific is selling such stake as holder of a security interest in such stake granted by HNA Innovation Finance Group Co., Limited (“HNA”) to secure payment under certain notes issued by HNA.  HGSI is a joint venture between HNA and Glencore Group Funding Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Glencore Plc (“Glencore”).  Glencore is one of the world’s largest globally diversified natural resource companies.

Through this deal, Tristar will acquire a majority holding in a well-diversified portfolio of oil storage, distribution and retail assets owned by HGSI, comprising 8 operating assets across 4 key regions: Europe, the Americas, Middle East... [...]

Rooftop farming at Tristar Group head office in Jebel Ali


Tristar Group CEO Eugene Mayne (in tie) and some members of the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) committee inspect the rooftop garden maintained by office-based staff every winter period since 2016. This season has the most number of vegetables and fruits, namely carrot, okra, tomato, brinjal, coriander, green chili, long beans, spinach, petchay, sweet melon, lettuce, pumpkin and basil.

Tristar selects IRU RoadMasters to boost hydrocarbon transport safety


Major energy logistics company and IRU member Tristar Group has chosen the IRU RoadMasters hydrocarbon programme for its operations across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region and beyond. 

Tristar Group, headquartered in Dubai, will roll out IRU RoadMasters to provide quality training to its drivers and reinforce safety processes across its hydrocarbon product supply chain. The decision follows Tristar’s commitment to comply with the highest international industry safety standards.

Operating over 2,000 vehicles in 21 countries across three continents, Tristar started its accreditation process last November in order to establish a team of IRU certified trainers and assessors.

Tristar Success Story Displayed at Indian Pavilion


The Tristar Video and Interactive screens on the third floor of the Indian Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai are back for visitors to know more about the company’s integrated energy logistics operations in 21 countries and territories across three continents.

The third floor has been designated by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) exclusively for Indian-owned conglomerates in India and in the UAE to showcase their products, services and community projects.

Tristar staff will be manning the screens till March 15. The company was established in 1998 in Dubai by Eugene Mayne who is the Group CEO. For more details Click here

Tristar Head Office Workshop Recognized Commercial Vehicle Workshop of the Year 2021


The Head Office Workshop Team received the Commercial Vehicle Workshop of the Year 2021 Award at the Automechanika Dubai Awards on December 15 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

The team shared with the judges its best practices and tools, from the robust preventive maintenance schedule following OEM recommendations to safety at work and OHS compliance, and the use of lifelines for working at a height and the tyre cage to protect mechanics from being injured during a tyre burst. 

The latest Tristar vehicles are equipped with fatigue monitoring camera, reversing camera, wheel nut indicators, rollover warning devise, and electronic braking system (EBS), among others. Workshop Manager Sujith Ravel received the award on behalf of Tristar.

Tristar’s ‘Safety at Sea’ initiatives recognized by the Maritime Industry


Tristar Group’s ongoing ‘Safety at Sea’ initiatives looking after the health and well-being of seafarers were recognized by the Maritime Industry in the Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Africa during the Seatrade Maritime Awards last December 13. This comes after the Maritime Logistics division of the company conducted its 3rd annual ‘Safety at Sea’ conference on December 8.

Group CEO Eugene Mayne received the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Award from The Mission to Seafarers Regional Director for Middle East & South Asia Andy Bowerman, who coincidentally was one of the main speakers at the December 8 event where he spoke about seafarers as victims of circumstances. Tristar Transport LLC was recognised in the transport and logistics category under the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum (MRM) Business Award. Tristar Group CEO Eugene Mayne received the award from His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President, Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, and Chairman of the Expo 2020 Dubai Higher Committee, and His Excellency Abdulaziz Al Ghurair, Chairman of Dubai Chambers.
