Tristar has won the UK-based Occupational Health and Safety Award for five consecutive years and was presented the Gold Medal Award by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA). The company was also given the Gold Award for Fleet Safety for its road safety records and safe driving culture.
Tristar Group CEO Eugene Mayne officially presided over the naming ceremony of the Silver Manoora, the first of six MR tankers do be delivered to Tristar over the course of this year.

The warehouse of the Tristar Group in Jebel Ali has been given “Five Star” rating by the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre or DMCC which is part of Dubai Government. This was achieved after the company earlier this year joined the DMCC Tradeflow which is a dedicated online platform for registering possession and ownership of commodities kept in UAE-based warehouses.
Tristar has released its third annual sustainability report at the Arabia CSR Network’s (ACSRN) Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Sustainability Reporting training course in Dubai. It was the perfect forum to launch the report covering Tristar’s activities in 2014 considering that the network was training corporate social responsibility (CSR) and communications professionals on how to write sustainability reports based on the GRI G4 framework.
The upcoming Tristar chemical warehouse and bagging plant worth AED 75M will be the first silo and bagging facility of its kind in the Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza). This was announced by Tristar Group CEO Eugene Mayne today (August 11) at the ground-breaking ceremony with Skeberis Plastics Managing Director Reinhard Fischer and Jafza officials led by Group Chief Finance Officer Asim Al Abbasi and VP – Customer Relations & Development Omar Bin Hendi.
Tristar won the Corporate Finance Award in the 2015 ACT Middle East Deals of the Year Awards for its purchase of six fuel efficient tankers in 2013. The Association of Corporate Treasurers (ACT) sets the global benchmark for treasury excellence. The main objective of the ACT Middle East is to develop the knowledge and expertise of treasury, risk and finance professionals in the region. Tristar has launched its first ever Global CSR Week by celebrating World Environment Day (WED) and World Blood Donor Day from June 5 to June 11 across its global network. The WED theme for 2015 is ‘Seven Billion Dreams.One.Planet.Consume with Care.’ The World Blood Donor Day is actually on June 14, but Tristar has already conducted it this week in the Pacific island of Guam, Haiti, Democratic Republic of Congo, Kuwait and UAE. Tree-planting activities were also held in some countries.
Tristar conducted a three-day road safety awareness campaign for senior high school students with road safety experts from UK-based Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA). They visited the GEMS Wellington Academy in Silicon Oasis, GEMS Wellington International School near Dubai Internet City, and Dubai International Academy near Emirates Hills.
