Coastal Clean-up in Guam


Tristar Guam donated trash bags, cotton gloves, and 5-gallon water bottles as part of its annual support to the cleaning of the beaches around Agat and in solidarity with EPA’s island-wide Coastal Clean-up. For the last 20 years, Guam residents have volunteered their time to pick up trash along the island’s beaches.

Tristar launches second sustainability report


Tristar launched its second Sustainability Report at the Dubai Chamber during the Best Practice Seminar on Road Safety. The seminar was organized by the chamber’s Centre for Responsible Business whose objective is to engage the Dubai business community in assuming greater responsibility for the emirate’s social and environmental needs.

Water Tank for Mother Teresa Center in DRC


Tristar Democratic Republic of Congo donated a water tank to the “Mission De La Charite” or Mother Teresa Center in Kinshasa. The water tank’s capacity is 5,000 litters which will be a reserve water source for cleaning, washing and laundry for more than 100 people. Beneficiaries of this project are the orphans, support staff and elderly people at the center. A 6-feet high platform was built for the tank for the better flow of water.

Collection of Paper Waste for Recycling


The Emirates Environmental Group (EEG) collected approximately 350 kilos of paper waste the Tristar Head Office in Jebel Ali Industrial Area 2. The waste will be recycled according to the Recyclers Team which coordinated the collection.

Adopt A School Project in Guam


Tristar Guam staff volunteered to paint the Benavente Middle School to make the facilities ready for the new school year. The staff purchased paint supplies and tools for painting.

Tristar gets green rating from Total


<p style="text-align: justify;">Tristar received an overall rating of &lsquo;Green&rsquo; in the Transporters Audit conducted by a representative from Total S.A France under Total Marketing Middle East (TMME). The areas audited were organizational management, driver management, vehicle management, trip management, and HSEQ management. &ldquo;The results have been favourable with an overall rating of &lsquo;Green&rsquo;, which is a reflection of your professionalism and HSEQ commitment,&rdquo; said a TMME executive.</p>

Ramadan Road Safety Initiatives in Pakistan


Tristar Pakistan initiated a Ramadan Safety Campaign when it engaged Shell, Total and other local transport drivers in a safety briefing which discussed fatigue management, Ramadan safety guidelines, vehicle inspection, and mandatory daily rest, among others. Participants were given gifts distributed by Shell Pakistan’s executives along with National Highway and Motorway Police officials.

Blood Donation


Tristar conducted its annual Blood Donation campaign on June 12, two days ahead of World Blood Donor Day. The focus for this year’s campaign is “Safe blood for saving mothers”. The campaign will increase awareness about why timely access to safe blood and blood products is essential for all countries as part of a comprehensive approach to prevent maternal deaths.

Tristar partners with RoSPA and RTA to launch road safety awareness workshop in Dubai


UAE-based Tristar Transport has commissioned the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) from the UK to launch the Tristar Road Safety Awareness Campaign workshop under the auspices of the Road & Transport Authority (RTA).

Tristar receives Dubai Quality Appreciation Award


Tristar Group CEO Eugene Mayne received the Dubai Quality Appreciation Award from His Highness Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, at the 20th Business Excellence Awards held at the Madinat Jumeirah and organized by the Dubai Department of Economic Development.
